Hey everyone! In this post, I’ll be showing you how to transfer your Tachiyomi library to your Aniyomi library, just in case you’ve ever decided to switch to Aniyomi.
Step 1: Install Aniyomi
First of all, obviously, you need to get Aniyomi. And if you don’t have Tachiyomi right now and you wanted to transfer your Tachiyomi library to Aniyomi, then you’re probably… well, you’re probably screwed. You need to have both Tachiyomi and Aniyomi installed at the same time for this to work.
But if you’ve already followed the steps I did before deleting Tachiyomi, then don’t worry—it’s totally fine.
So anyways, first of all, you gotta get Aniyomi. Go to your preferred browser (for me, it’s Google Chrome), and search for Aniyomi. Go to the GitHub page, find the APK file, and download it. Once downloaded, install it on your device.
Step 2: Create a Backup in Tachiyomi
Now that you’ve got Aniyomi, it’s time to start transferring your Tachiyomi library.
All of my stuff—my manga—is in Tachiyomi. If you want to transfer that, all you need to do is:
- Go to More → Backup and Restore → Create Backup.
- Make sure all options are ticked, then press Create and save it to your preferred destination (for example, Downloads).
I’ve already done that, so once you press Save, your backup file will be ready.
Step 3: Restore the Backup in Aniyomi
Next, go to Aniyomi and open More → Backup and Restore → Restore Backup.
Find your Tachiyomi backup file (it should be somewhere in your Downloads folder). Once you locate it, tap on it and press Open. You’ll see a pop-up asking if you want to restore—press Restore.
I’ve already done that, so I don’t have to repeat it, but once it’s done, all of your manga will appear in Aniyomi.

Final Notes
If you had Tachiyomi before, you don’t need to reinstall your manga sources, because you’ve already installed them when you had Tachiyomi. It’s completely fine—you don’t need to do anything extra.
