i’m going to be telling you about the two versions of touch umi that you absolutely need and that you should download i’m also going to be telling you how to download them and i’m going to be giving you some tips on how you can use them from what i’ve seen there are not a lot of tutorials on the second version like a lot of people don’t know about the second version but it’s really good i personally have the two of them i keep them for teams of culture if you catch my drifts men of culture and consider the second one as a kickstarter bonus of the channel from me to you uh without any delay let’s get started
Step 1: Download Tachiyomi
Now I’m going to be showing you how to download Tachiyomi and Tachiyomi J2K. Those are the two versions of Tachiyomi. You’re going to go to your browser and open a new tab. Then you’re going to go to tachiyomi.org. Here it is, and straight out on the page you see Tachiyomi. You click on Download. If your phone reaches the requirements, you download them.
Extensions Setup
This is very important: you click on the three dashes and go to Extensions.
These extensions are considered as links to the sites where you read manga (like KissManga, Manga Rock, MangaClues, etc.).
There are servers that you may manage to scramble and get them, I think so.
You just download all of them. They are in the kilobytes as you can see, so they are not heavy on space.
Download them alongside Tachiyomi.
As you can see, once downloading is complete, you’re going to install Tachiyomi.
It’s loading, and then you’re going to install the extensions. Don’t need to worry, it’s all trustworthy and safe.
After installation, the extensions are going to automatically reflect on the Tachiyomi app as you’ll see later on.
So just download all the extensions.
Step 2: Download Tachiyomi J2K
Now for Tachiyomi J2K, you simply Google “Tachiyomi J2K”. You click on the Download button and it’s going to start downloading. You just download it and wait for it to finish.
Storage & Extensions
From what I’ve noticed, Tachiyomi and Tachiyomi J2K both share the same links.
But if you were to use the same storage folders, they will still store manga differently.
They would save them in the same folder, and you could view them as images, but they won’t reflect on both apps at the same time.
The good news is both apps use the same extensions.
So once you download the extensions, they will show up on both Tachiyomi and Tachiyomi J2K.
You just install J2K also, it’s going to load up, and we’re done.
Tachiyomi vs Tachiyomi J2K (Quick Comparison)

Step 3: Next Steps
Next, I’m going to be showing you some of the features of these apps.
Using Tachiyomi
Now I’m going to be showing you how to use Tachiyomi. We just open it, and remember guys—the extensions you downloaded have already been custom installed into Tachiyomi. It recognizes them automatically on your phone, so you don’t need to do anything extra. As you can see, Tachiyomi is pretty nice and very feature-rich. It shows you the updates and the history of your manga.
Searching for Manga
If I were to Google a manga, for example Naruto, it will load and then show me results based on the sites I have installed.
As you can see, the manga I searched for came up, and I can read any manga I want.
You just click on the chapter and it’s going to load up.
Tachiyomi is very user-friendly with a clean UI.
You can even adjust the brightness to low or high, depending on your preference.
So overall, it’s just generally fun to use.
Viewing Modes
The viewer mode is set to default for manga, but if you are reading webtoons, you can switch it to Webtoon mode. Then you just scroll along smoothly. That’s that—any manga I want, I can search for it.
However, regular Tachiyomi can be a little buggy.
Instead of a general search, I can click on a specific source I want to fetch from.
This makes it faster, more specific, and more reliable.
Once I search directly from the source, I get the chapters, the descriptions, and everything.
Depending on your network speed, you could even stream it as it loads.
Downloading Manga
If I wanted to download, I simply hold on a chapter and click Download.
As you can see, Tachiyomi is very good, with a great UI and awesome features.
Make sure you add everything to your library, otherwise it won’t show up.
Once downloading is complete, I go to my Library—and here we go.
For example, all the chapters of Death Note are there.
These are all the pages of the chapter I downloaded.
Features of Tachiyomi J2K
And now here are the features of Tachiyomi J2K. Sakurami has to be hands down the best manga reader in the world. It’s been underrated for a very long time—it’s not too recently that it came out, but it’s so good. The UI is very awesome, and as you can see, it constantly gives you updates on all the extensions you downloaded, so you don’t have to go back to their site.
I’m going to update one now—it updates really quickly. Remember, updates are in kilobytes, and you need to constantly update them. There are not too many updates, but doing this ensures that the app works properly and you get whatever you want.
Now I’m going to search for a personal manga I read—yes, I read Naruto. And as you can see, every 92 manga ever released is available on the various sites we have like Jaimini’s Box, MangaPark, MangaRock, ES, Cultured sites, and all the rest.

Downloading and Library Management in J2K
So as you can see, if I were to download one, I would go like so. Before you download the manga, remember to add it in your library so that it will reflect. You just click here and it will be added to your library.
Downloading Manga in J2K
If I am to download manga, I would click on the blue arrow.
It’s going to start downloading right away.
I just go back to any manga—let me set on another, my second favorite Dragon Ball (yes, I read book number two on Dragon Ball and I ain’t dead).
As you can see, I just click on it, it counts, and there you go.
The same process works for any manga.
You could also quick download all of them if you wanted, or you could choose to download only the chapters you haven’t read and manage it that way.

Do I need to install extensions separately for Tachiyomi and Tachiyomi J2K?
No. Both apps use the same extensions; once you install or update them, they appear in both.
Why don’t my downloaded chapters show up in both apps at the same time?
The apps can share folders for images, but each app keeps its own library and tracking, so downloads won’t automatically reflect in both.
Is it safe to install and update extensions?
Yes—extensions are small (usually kilobytes) and updating them regularly helps sources work properly.
What’s the quickest way to download chapters in J2K?
Use the blue arrow on the chapter list. You can also quick-download unread chapters.
How do I read Webtoons comfortably?
In Tachiyomi, switch the viewer to Webtoon mode. In J2K, the app can automatically set the correct viewer for Webtoons.
What should I do if a source stops loading after an update?
Update the extension for that source, then try clearing the extension’s cache and checking for another mirror/source within Extensions.
